Overview - Direct Hire - 2nd shift Production Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing production operations, ensuring that we meet quality standards while maximizing efficiency. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Manage and lead a team of production workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to meet deadlines and optimize output.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Design and implement lean manufacturing strategies
- Use inventory management system
- Collaborate with other departments, including quality control and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Train new employees on production processes and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control standards including Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
