Job Title: CDL-B Driver (HazMat Endorsed)
Schedule: Day Shift — Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $28–$30 per hour
Location: Richmond, VA (Local Deliveries Only)
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL-B Driver with a HazMat endorsement to join our team. This role is responsible for performing local deliveries within a 2-hour radius of Richmond, transporting materials safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, punctual, and comfortable with physical duties including loading and unloading freight.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL-B vehicle for daily delivery routes.
- Perform local deliveries within approximately 2 hours of the Richmond area.
- Load and unload trucks using a pallet jack, forklift, and lift gate.
- Ensure all hazardous materials are transported in compliance with DOT and HazMat safety regulations.
- Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff.
- Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL-B license with HazMat (H) endorsement — required.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and lift gate (training or certification preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical material-handling duties.
- Excellent time management and customer service skills.
