CDL A Local Driver – First Shift (Home Every Night)
Pay: $28/hour — Guaranteed 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM to finish (local routes)
Type: Full-time, Local / No Overnight
About the Role
We’re hiring a dependable CDL A local driver to run all local routes with drop-and-hook pickups and 3–8 deliveries per day. This role operates automatic trucks, is home every night, and guarantees 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities (3)
- Safely operate automatic CDL A trucks on local routes, completing 3–8 daily deliveries and drop-and-hook pickups while maintaining DOT compliance and a clean driving record.
- Load and unload materials using an electric pallet jack, ensuring secure handling; no lifting over 50 lbs.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, report safety/equipment issues, and meet on-time delivery and customer service standards.
Expected Results
- Consistently complete all scheduled deliveries and pickups on time with accurate paperwork and damage-free freight.
- Uphold a clean safety and driving record and adhere to DOT and company policies.
- Maintain reliable attendance to meet the guaranteed 40-hour workweek.
Equipment Used
- Automatic CDL A tractors and trailers (drop-and-hook).
- Electric pallet jack for loading/unloading.
- ELD/in-cab technology and standard safety/inspection tools.
Skills Required
- Safe operation of automatic CDL A vehicles on local routes.
- Proficiency with drop-and-hook and electric pallet jack usage.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and independent work habits to support 3–8 stops per day.
Experience Required
- Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.
- Experience with local delivery, drop-and-hook, multiple-stop routes, and electric pallet jack handling.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, ELDs, and routine vehicle inspections.
