The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting production machinery while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate production machinery according to established procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Accurately complete production, quality, and maintenance records.
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with material handling, packaging, and other production-related duties as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or production experience preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and quality specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
