Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Day Shift Planer Operator to join our team. This role involves working with large timbers, operating planers, and performing tasks both indoors and outdoors. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or industrial environments, and while forklift operation is not required immediately, it will be part of the role after a month of training. Responsibilities:

• Move and process large timbers through two separate planers.

• Manually lift and stack materials, often requiring the handling of heavy timber.

• Ensure materials are moved efficiently, safely, and in a timely manner.

• Follow safety procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.

• Perform 30% of tasks outdoors, requiring the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Experience:

• Previous experience in construction or an industrial environment is highly preferred.

• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required for the first month.

• Proficient at reading a tape measure and using it to make precise measurements.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and work in physically demanding conditions.

• Comfortable working outdoors in an unheated environment, especially during cold weather.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform manual labor tasks consistently.

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in a non-climate-controlled environment.

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness in all tasks.
