Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring a skilled Fabrication Technician! This is a fulltime, permanent position available immediately!
This role involves working on the production floor to fabricate sliding door frames and accessories, with a focus on aluminum fabrication and mechanical assembly. Key responsibilities include operating hand tools and machinery, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring quality control.
The Fabrication Technician will focus on aluminum fabrication and mechanical assembly of large aluminum components. Responsibilities include aluminum profile saw cutting, CNC router operation, material handling, and quality control. Cross-training in various fabrication areas is also part of the role.
Work Hours:
- Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Occasional overtime on Fridays
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize a variety of hand tools and machinery, including hand drills, table saws, chop saws, forklifts, and nail guns, to fabricate aluminum door frame components.
- Lifting up to 50lbs regularly throughout shift.
- Review documentation and drawings to understand fabrication requirements.
- Use pick lists, part lists, and assembly instructions to fabricate door components.
- Collaborate with the assembly team and other production support to meet customer specifications.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency and safety in machinery operation.
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure safety and quality.
- Train other employees on the fabrication process as needed.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting and repair of machinery.
Qualifications:
- Preferably 2+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally in fabrication such as machining, quality inspection, or soldering/welding.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High mechanical aptitude and ability to quickly learn to operate different machines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, parts lists, and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Email.
Starting pay is $19 per hour. Successful candidate must submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
