Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a crew of Skilled Yard Laborers for a busy industrial company in Arlington. If you enjoy physical work, being outside, and afternoon shifts, this opportunity is for you! You will be responsible for working with the lead to file steel at various points in the galvanization process.
Location: Arlington, WA
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: Swing Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Salary: Starting at $25 per hour during probationary period - receive an automatic pay increase upon hire with the client 60-90 days in
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove steel materials from racks
- Accurately count, label, and tag parts with customer details and job numbers
- Smooth and clean metal products using tools like hand files, sanders, and wire brushes
- Detect and repair imperfections in galvanized coatings using various methods
- Manually lift parts or use forklifts
- Organize parts using pallets, dunnage, shrink wrap, and banding materials
- Collaborate with the lead to handle steel throughout the galvanization process
- Engage in tasks that involve heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physically demanding activities, including lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, balancing, walking, and stooping
Work Conditions:
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and in a manufacturing environment under supervision for extended shifts
