Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring a Field Service Technician / Route Sales Representative to join our client's team in Everett, WA. This unique hybrid role combines technical field service and hands-on maintenance with proactive sales and customer relationship management.
You’ll be responsible for servicing valve and actuator systems in the field, maintaining customer equipment performance, and identifying product/service opportunities through regular route-based visits. This is a fulltime, permanent position offering dayshift hours Monday - Friday. Starting pay is $25-$30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Service Technician Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial valves, actuators, and related flow control systems at customer sites.
- Conduct diagnostics and preventative maintenance on mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
- Document all service work, inspections, and findings with detailed reports.
- Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards during all fieldwork.
- Train customers on equipment operation and minor maintenance procedures when applicable.
Route Sales Representative Duties:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular route visits.
- Identify customer needs and recommend products and services that enhance equipment performance.
- Coordinate with internal teams to follow up on leads, quotes, and orders.
- Monitor customer inventory levels and suggest reorders or upgrades.
- Provide feedback from the field to support continuous improvement and product development.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in industrial field service, mechanical maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Sales or customer-facing experience preferred (route sales, territory sales, etc.).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a variety of industrial environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with valves, actuators, or industrial flow control products.
- Experience working in manufacturing, water treatment, chemical, or oil & gas industries.
- Basic knowledge of CRM or route planning software.
- Self-motivated and organized with a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through.
