Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring an Operator/Assembler - Level II to support the assembly and repair of aircraft components for a local company. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
The Operator/Assembler role involves performing electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical assembly tasks. You’ll be responsible for disassembling, cleaning, troubleshooting, repairing, and reassembling aircraft components to meet strict quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install subassemblies using blueprints, diagrams, and verbal instructions
- Interpret technical documents including manuals, service bulletins, and schematics
- Use hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, and screwdrivers
- Operate balancing and grinding machines for engine module assembly
- Disassemble components for inspection using appropriate cleaning materials
- Measure parts with precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Perform inspections and functional tests to verify compliance with specifications
- Request necessary parts and materials through ERP systems
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and quality
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma
- Experience: 3–5 years in mechanical or electronic assembly or repair
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Additional Skills:
- Experience in an FAA Repair Station or similar environment preferred
- Basic mechanical and electronics knowledge
- Ability to read and use electrical test instruments
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Capable of training others using documented procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Pay is $18+ per hour, depending on experience. Selected candidates will be required to submit to pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
