Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals in Everett is hiring a Shop Helper / Sawyer for a reputable manufacturing company in Everett, WA. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity on a well-established team with outstanding employee retention.
This pivotal role works closely with the Shop Lead to ensure smooth and efficient production of key commercial products. The ideal candidate will have a solid machining background, strong attention to detail, and the physical stamina to work in a hands-on production environment.
Pay: $19+ per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift
Location: Everett, WA
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and Manual Machines
- Receive, inspect, and check in steel raw stock
- Operate a steel saw to cut and shape materials per specifications
- Inspect parts to ensure compliance with technical prints
- Maintain precision and accuracy throughout machining processes
- Perform physical tasks requiring good upper body and hand strength
- Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Assist the Shop Lead in coordinating shop activities and meeting production goals
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized workspace
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues in collaboration with team members
Requirements:
- Experience setting up and operating CNC and manual machines
- Ability to operate steel saws and manage raw material
- Skilled in interpreting and inspecting to engineering prints
- Strong physical capability and endurance
- Detail-oriented with excellent precision in machining tasks
- Leadership potential and strong organizational skills
