Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Everett are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder Maintenance Technician for a reputable company in Arlington, WA. This hands-on role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance services including plumbing, electrical, welding, construction, painting, and machine servicing. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Starting Pay: $28 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and part catalogs.
- Troubleshoot and service forklifts, cranes, and hoists efficiently.
- Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks using cutting torches and welding equipment.
- Repair, replace, and reassemble defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery and building systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns during other shifts as part of on-call responsibilities.
- Fulfill all welding and fabrication needs for the facility.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance for forklifts and heavy machinery.
- Experience repairing air pumps and hydraulic presses.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
- Forklift operation experience required.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and communication.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a production environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for extended periods (1–10 hours/day).
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires working under immediate supervision in a variety of weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable with long shifts and physically demanding tasks.
