Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring an Accounting & HR Supervisor for a well-established construction company located in Marysville, WA. Starting pay is $75,000–$90,000 annually. This is a full-time, direct hire position on day shift, working Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Under the direction of the Regional Controller, this role is responsible for overseeing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and human resource functions at the local office. The position supervises department personnel and handles various administrative tasks to support smooth office operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Accounting
- Generate invoices for completed units, parts, installations, and employee purchases
- Process MSOs and send to customers post-payment
- Follow up on past due invoices and resolve short pays
- Maintain weekly invoicing log and update backlog monthly
- Investigate credit for new customers and recommend terms
- Reconcile credit card receipts and administer cash funds
- Approve A/P checks and perform banking functions (ACH, wires, deposits, etc.)
- Prepare and file tax reports (940, 941, FUTA, SUTA, Withholding)
- Reconcile A/P and A/R to GL and perform month-end bank reconciliations
- File 1099s and record fixed asset purchases with depreciation tracking
Payroll
- Upload direct deposit files and ensure payroll tax deposits
- Record benefit plan contributions
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations for new hires
- Process 1094s, 1095s, and W-2s for all employees
Human Resources
- Oversee I-9 documentation and E-Verify processing
- Review and approve benefit statements
- Manage benefit enrollments and terminations
- Coordinate open enrollment and assist with COBRA
- Add new drivers to insurance and maintain driver files
- Supervise A/P, A/R, P/R departments and reception staff
Miscellaneous
- Assist with quarterly inventory and maintain accounting records
- Manage office consumables and service contracts
- Ensure office cleanliness and readiness for visitors
- Coordinate employee events (holiday parties, gift card giveaways, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned, including fulfilling departmental roles as needed
Requirements:
- Strong background in accounting, payroll, and HR functions
- Supervisory experience preferred
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently
- Minimum six months of recent work experience
- Two professional references required
