Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring for a Material Specialist for a reputable manufacturing company in Everett, WA.
This is a full‑time Evaluation Hire opportunity.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with possible overtime on Fridays 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Requirement: Must be willing to be certified and/or have experience operating a multi-directional forklift
Key Responsibilities
- Palletize products according to shipment specifications
- Perform material handling, including lifting up to 35 lbs
- Operate wrapping machines
- Lift product safely from 4 inches to 56 inches off the floor; occasional above‑shoulder lifting
- Use shipping computer software; perform basic math and analytical tasks
- Demonstrate product knowledge across multiple product lines and associated terminology
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Collaborate professionally with multiple departments and all organizational levels
- Manage shifting priorities in a multitask environment
- Work a flexible schedule based on department needs
- Work overtime on evenings and Saturdays as required
- Obtain (or already hold) a valid forklift license
Qualifications – What You Need to Succeed
- Ability to generate production measures and reporting
- Experience participating in team activities and problem‑solving groups
- Effective interaction with stores, assembly functions, and shipping vendors
- Prior assembly experience
- Product knowledge of one or more company product lines
- In‑depth understanding of:
- Air freight and common carriers
- UPS processes and systems
- Bill of ladings
- Legal truckload requirements
- Interorganizational and interplant transfers (Primus, Canada, Mexico, DSC)
- Ability to operate all machines associated with applicable shipping/receiving processes
- 2 years of shipping/receiving experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment
