Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring an IT Hardware Technician for a locally owned IT company located in Everett, WA. Starting pay is $21.63 per hour. This is a full-time, long-term position working 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday–Friday.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of physical computer systems and networking equipment. This role ensures the organization’s hardware infrastructure runs efficiently and reliably.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Install, configure, and deploy workstations, laptops, servers, and peripheral devices such as printers and scanners.
- Perform routine hardware maintenance, diagnostics, cleaning, and upgrades including RAM, hard drives, and component replacements.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues, connectivity failures, overheating, and component malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware assets, spare parts, warranties, and equipment assignments.
- Provide in-person, phone, and remote technical support for end‑users and assist with equipment use.
- Document repair activities, hardware changes, configuration updates, and technical procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform cable pulls, and handle physical installation tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills when assisting non‑technical users.
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent.
Eligibility Requirements
- At least six months of recent work experience required.
- Must provide two work references for employment through our office.
