Plant Manager – Direct Hire Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Plant Manager in Everett, WA. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all plant operations while building a high-performing team and supporting continued growth.
The Plant Manager will lead production, maintenance, quality, materials, and shipping/receiving operations, while driving safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Direct and coordinate all plant operations, including production, maintenance, engineering, materials, and logistics
- Ensure alignment of production schedules with customer demand and operational capacity
- Monitor KPIs to maintain on-time, in-full delivery, quality, and cost targets
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and accurate production records
Workforce Development & Leadership
- Build and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Hire, train, coach, and develop supervisors and team members
- Conduct performance reviews and implement training and cross-training programs
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Lead OSHA and environmental compliance programs, including training, audits, and corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards
- Oversee root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
Continuous Improvement (Lean)
- Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing principles (5S, visual management, value stream mapping)
- Drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Analyze performance metrics to improve labor efficiency, material usage, and equipment uptime
Materials, Supply Chain & Customer Service
- Oversee materials planning, inventory accuracy, and replenishment processes
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics to maintain service levels
- Partner with sales, customer service, and quality teams to meet customer expectations
Facilities & Equipment
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Ensure facility readiness, equipment reliability, and support for future growth and expansion
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plant management or senior manufacturing leadership
- Strong knowledge of production operations, supply chain, and quality systems
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Solid understanding of OSHA and environmental compliance standards
- Demonstrated leadership, team development, and performance management skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing KPIs, budgets, and operational performance metrics
