Job Full Description
Our client, a respected newspaper and media company with deep roots in the community, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support their distribution operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy hands-on work, this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team that keeps the news moving.
You will play a key part in ensuring timely delivery of printed materials by managing incoming shipments, organizing inventory, and preparing outgoing orders. This role is essential to the smooth flow of daily newspaper distribution and other print products.
What you get to do:
- Perform accurate data entry for all shipments and receipts
- Coordinate incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments with vendors and carriers
- Maintain digital and physical records of inventory, shipping logs, and receipts
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Track and follow up on outstanding shipments or discrepancies
- Safely operate a forklift to move and organize materials as needed
- Assist with inventory counts and office supply management
What you need to be successful:
- Attention to detail
- Computer Proficiency
- Forklift experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Pay: $21.00
