Job Full Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines to cut metal materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Load and unload materials onto cutting tables and secure them properly.
• Adjust machine settings for material type and thickness.
• Inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy using measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
• Identify and report any machine malfunctions or defects in materials.
• Maintain accurate records of production and material usage.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience operating a plasma cutter or similar CNC equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with materials handling and metal properties.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Forklift certification a plus (optional depending on facility).

Work Environment:

• Industrial/fabrication shop setting with moderate noise, heat, and exposure to metal dust.
• Must wear PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
