Punch Press Operator (Set-Up) – 1st Shift
Location: Racine, WI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay: $18.45 – $20.19/hour (based on experience)
We’re looking for a reliable Punch Press Operator to join our team on 1st shift. This role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating punch presses to produce quality parts while meeting tight tolerances.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate punch presses for operations such as punching, blanking, forming, and coining
- Position and align dies; secure tooling to press and ram using proper hardware
- Set up adjustable/multi-purpose dies to meet job specifications
- Configure and synchronize automatic material feeds
- Run initial parts for inspection and make adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy
- Monitor production and adjust machine settings (ram stroke, dies, gauges) as needed
- Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, scales, and templates to verify work
- Apply basic statistical tools to maintain process control
- Maintain quality standards and follow safety procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience setting up and operating punch presses (preferred)
- Ability to read measurements and use precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Good communication with team members and supervisors
- Forklift experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 8 hours
- Ability to lift and move parts up to 20 lbs consistently throughout the shift
