Pompton Plains-based company seeks a Batch Operator

Position Summary:
The Batch Operator is responsible for overseeing the production of batches in a manufacturing or chemical processing facility. This role involves operating and monitoring equipment, ensuring product quality, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Batch Preparation & Operation:

  • Accurately measure and mix raw materials according to specified formulas and batch sheets.

  • Operate and monitor batch processing equipment, such as mixers, reactors, and pumps, to ensure proper functioning.

  • Adjust equipment settings as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency.

  •  

    Quality Control & Documentation:

• • Conduct routine quality checks on batches, including sampling and testing, to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate batch records, including production logs and quality control data.

  • Report any deviations or issues to supervisors and take corrective actions as needed.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Properly handle hazardous materials and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

• Equipment Maintenance & Housekeeping:

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on batch processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.

  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as necessary
