Employee Relations & Engagement Workshops
Talking About Our Generations
“Faces of Change – Generations in the Workplace,” is a training presentation that identifies the four generations of workers who are side-by-side in the workplace for the first time in history, and begin to look at the fifth generation that is emerging. This workshop will explore the characteristics and preferences of each group and the societal impact that shaped the generations. A generational assessment is available.
Emotional Intelligence. What's Your EQ?
Emotional intelligence is at the core of every human encounter whether personal or in business. Learn how to move yourself from mediocrity to excellence through awareness and regulation of your own emotions, recognition of others' emotions and managing interpersonal relationships. High emotional intelligence in the workplace is said to be one of the top indicators of employee engagement, effective leadership and a successful job path. An assessment and strategic action plan are used to help increase emotional intelligence.
Challenging Conversations
Workplace conflict and stress can cause low productivity, disengagement and employees walking out the door. Most organizations know that “band-aiding” issues is a temporary fix that inevitably costs more time, money and energy. This workshop will give leaders tools and strategies to have challenging conversations and help to improve employee engagement.
Non-Harassment Training
The EEOC has been filing and settling several discrimination lawsuits in recent months. Are your managers equipped to prohibit discrimination in your workplace? This workshop highlights practical tips to develop an environment of inclusion in the workplace. As we discuss situations that occur in the workplace and recent litigation, participants will learn how to improve relations with their team. A review of your company Harassment Policy will round out the informative session.
Safety Compliance
Safety in the workplace is of major importance. Safe, healthy employees are more productive. If you make the Safety Initiative very visible the employees have a sense that they are important to you; building morale. We will discuss how MiOSHA makes it easy to create and monitor your Safety Initiative by offering checklists to allow self-audit of your processes. Also, how keeping track of injuries and “close calls” will help reduce your medical costs and your Workers’ Comp Insurance rate.
