The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues
- Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
- Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation accurately
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Assist in continuous improvement and preventive maintenance programs
- Perform basic facility maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school preferred
- 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working around moving machinery and industrial equipment
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (noise, temperature, etc.)
Additional Information
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
- Overtime may be required based on business needs
