Job Details

• Accurate measurement skills with the ability to read a tape measure (+/- 1/32”)
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions according to AWS D 1.1 standards.
• Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets for layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
• Follow and implement safety and quality control programs.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Some overtime may be required.
• FCAW - Must Past Welding Test - 3G test with a backing bar on 3/8” plate.

Physical Abilities:

• Ability to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support without fatigue.
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
• Stationary position for several hours.
• Lift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Lift up to 60lbs.
• Stand for 10-12 hours.
• Work in a plant/manufacturing environment.
• Other physical requirements as needed for the job.
