Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Programmer with a strong background in Johnson Controls (JCI) systems and environmental controls. This role is ideal for candidates who are technically skilled, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. You will be responsible for programming and troubleshooting automatic HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance across commercial and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities

Program, configure, and troubleshoot JCI HVAC automation systems

Write, test, and optimize control code for building systems regulating temperature, humidity, air quality, and pressure

Perform system inspections, testing, and commissioning of automated HVAC equipment

Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to implement solutions

Maintain documentation of all programming and system changes

Collaborate with facility teams to train staff and support smooth system operation
Qualifications

7–10+ years of independent HVAC experience (automation/controls focus)

Direct experience with Johnson Controls (JCI) products and coding/programming

Completion of JCI training/certification strongly preferred

Strong understanding of building automation and environmental controls

Ability to troubleshoot both software and mechanical system issues

Experience with 2–5 ton units and larger chillers a plus

Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
