Summary:
Hotel housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining hotel guest rooms and public spaces in a clean, orderly and attractive condition. They ensure facilities meet established standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies
- Remove trash and change linens in guest rooms
- Clean public areas such as lobbies, hallways, lounges and restrooms
- Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries and amenities in guest rooms
- Report any repairs or maintenance issues to management
- Adhere to all safety standards and procedures
- Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- Deliver exceptional guest service and respond to any special requests
- May assist other departments as needed during peak periods
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel setting 3-5 years
- Ability to follow checklists and procedures accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to push, pull, lift and maneuver housekeeping equipment
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
- Able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
Physical Demands:
This role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling and lifting up to 25 lbs. Working hours may vary and include weekends and holidays.
