Cook – Hospital Setting
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Availability: Open availability required (including weekends and holidays)
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cook to join our hospital food services team. This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold meals in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to food safety, quality, and providing excellent service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, cook, and present meals for:
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Dinner
- Special and catered events
- Follow standard recipes and dietary guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and proper food storage
- Work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Valid Food Handler’s Card (required)
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred, especially in healthcare or high-volume settings
