Journeyman Glazier (Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5am to 2pm
Overtime: Available
Pay Range:

  • 2-4 Year Experience: $22 – $26/hour
  • 5+ Years Experience: $26 – $30/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Glazier to lead a team on commercial glazing projects from start to finish. This role requires strong technical expertise in curtainwall and storefront systems, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of managing complex, multi-story installations.


Key Responsibilities

  • • Assist with the installation of aluminum storefront, curtain wall, window wall, and 
    entrance systems.
    • Assist with glazing installation including insulated glass units, tempered glass, 
    laminated glass, and specialty glazing products.
    • Load, unload, transport, and stage materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
    • Read and interpret shop drawings, installation instructions, and project 
    specifications under supervision.
    • Measure openings and verify dimensions for glass and framing installations.
    • Assist with sealant application, flashing installation, and waterproofing procedures.
    • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
    • Help erect scaffolding, lifts, and fall protection systems as required.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
    • Perform material inventory counts and assist with receiving deliveries.
    • Report safety concerns, damaged materials, and installation issues to supervisors.
    • Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of commercial glazing experience required
  • Proven experience with curtainwall and storefront systems (Kawneer, Trifab, or similar)
  • Strong ability to read and analyze shop drawings and blueprints
  • Experience working on multi-story commercial construction projects
  • Proficiency operating boom lifts, scissor lifts, reach lifts, and other equipment
  • Leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship
