Production Cleaner
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM some Fridays depending on production needs
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented production cleaner to join our production team. This hands-on manufacturing role is responsible for preparing parts and components for the metal finishing process through masking, racking, cleaning, and inspection activities. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Mask parts and components using tape, caps, plugs, boots, and other materials to protect designated areas during processing.
- Rack and position parts on fixtures, jigs, and racks to ensure proper processing results.
- Inspect parts before and after processing for defects, contamination, or damage.
- Follow work orders, travelers, and basic blueprints to determine masking and racking requirements.
- Maintain proper rack spacing and load balance for consistent quality.
- Remove masking materials and de-rack completed parts carefully to prevent damage.
- Clean and maintain racks, jigs, fixtures, and work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work closely with production and quality team members to meet daily production goals.
- Accurately complete production records and required documentation.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, metal finishing, plating, anodizing, or a similar production environment.
- Familiarity with masking materials and racking techniques.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings or specifications.
- Knowledge of chemical safety practices.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Repetitive hand and finger movements.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals while following safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift and carry parts and racks weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Use of required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed footwear
