We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential employer — a well-established manufacturer in the fire suppression and safety systems industry based in Scottsdale, AZ. They are looking for a sharp, safety-first Shipping, Logistics & Receiving Specialist to own their warehouse operations end-to-end, including the handling and shipping of dangerous and hazardous goods. This is a role where doing things by the book isn't optional — it's everything.
Safety is non-negotiable
This role involves hazardous and dangerous goods. The ability to operate safely, follow compliance protocols, and handle regulated materials correctly is the single most important requirement for this position.
What you'll do
- Receive, inspect, and process inbound freight and palletized shipments
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare outbound orders for shipment
- Classify, package, and ship dangerous and hazardous goods in full compliance with DOT/IATA/IMDG regulations
- Schedule freight pickups and coordinate with carriers and couriers
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and warehouse equipment safely
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and documentation
- Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards are upheld at all times
What you bring
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse logistics
- Knowledge of hazardous/dangerous goods regulations (DOT, IATA, or IMDG preferred)
- Experience with freight scheduling and carrier coordination
- Strong labeling, documentation, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and warehouse equipment
- Detail-oriented with a process-driven, compliance-first mindset
- Proficiency in shipping software and inventory systems
- Physical ability to lift, move, and handle freight as required
