Job Title
Recycling Attendant (CRV)
Job Summary
We are hiring a reliable Recycling Attendant to support daily operations at busy recycling centers. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, interacting with customers, and staying active throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and explain recycling and CRV processes
- Sort and count beverage containers for processing
- Inspect materials for eligibility and cleanliness
- Operate basic equipment (conveyors, reverse vending machines)
- Process customer returns and issue payments or credits
- Maintain accurate counts and transaction records
- Keep work area clean (sweeping, emptying bins, organizing)
- Load and move materials throughout the facility
- Follow safety guidelines and use PPE as required
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
- Assist with restocking and general site upkeep
- Support team members with general labor tasks as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Able to lift up to 50–80 lbs consistently
- Comfortable standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Basic communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in warehouse, production, recycling, or general labor
- Customer service or retail experience
- Familiarity with material handling or light equipment
- Basic computer or transaction logging skills
Work Details
- Location: Arcata, Eureka, Fortuna, Redway, Willow Creek CA
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time; weekend availability required
- Shift: Day shifts (hours vary by location)
- Pay: $18–$19/hour
- Employment Type: Ongoing / long-term opportunity

- This postition starts off seasonal and has the potential to become permanent. If and when it become permanent, these benefits kick in:
