Job Full Description
A local manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join its Shipping Department. This position will support daily warehouse and shipping operations, including safely moving palletized products, staging loads, loading trucks, and assisting with inventory activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move and stage palletized products.
- Load and unload trucks, including flatbed trailers and van-style trucks.
- Prepare and stage products for outgoing shipments.
- Use a handheld scanner/scan gun to track inventory and shipments within an ERP system.
- Complete shipping paperwork and documentation associated with each load.
- Verify products and quantities before shipments leave the facility.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and warehouse practices.
- Assist with general warehouse and shipping duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience loading trucks and working with palletized products.
- Familiarity with handheld scanners, inventory systems, or ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to accurately complete shipping paperwork and inventory documentation.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a Monday–Friday schedule.
Pay & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Monday–Friday schedule.
