EVENT CASHIER - HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
Location: Eureka, CA
Date: Thursday, November 19 (1 day temp assignment)
Shift: Approximately 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM (4 Hours)
Pay: $20.00 per hour
A local salon and skin care studio is seeking a friendly, reliable Event Cashier to assist during a holiday open house event. This is a great short-term opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, providing excellent service, and helping create a welcoming experience during a festive community event.
What You'll Do
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently
- Operate a Square Point of Sale (POS) system
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions
- Greet guests and create a positive first impression
- Assist with maintaining an organized checkout area
- Direct guests to appropriate staff for questions
- Provide professional and friendly customer service throughout the event
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
- Experience using Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems preferred
- Comfortable handling transactions and making change
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
