Job Summary:
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role supports project teams by enforcing health and safety policies in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, with a strong focus on electrical construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and programs tailored to construction and electrical operations.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments at job sites and facilities.

  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, as well as other applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Provide safety training and orientation for employees and subcontractors, including tool box talks and job hazard analyses.

  • Maintain safety records, including incident logs, inspection reports, training documentation, and compliance data.

  • Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure job site safety plans are implemented effectively.

  • Promote a culture of safety by actively engaging with team members and encouraging reporting of hazards or unsafe conditions.

  • Assist with the development and delivery of emergency response plans and drills.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to occupational health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably within the electrical or construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.

  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, or CHST are preferred.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and travel to multiple job sites as needed.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily field-based with regular visits to active construction sites.

  • Exposure to various weather conditions, heights, confined spaces, and electrical hazards.
