Job Full Description
Specialized Recruiting Group, Irvine is seeking a R&D Chemist for an award-winning beauty products manufacturing company. This is a permanent, evaluation hire, career opportunity based in the Irvine, CA area. Starting compensation is $24.00 to $35.00/hour.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine new personal care formulations from concept through final product.
- Research and assess new ingredients and suppliers to support innovation and cost optimization.
- Conduct small-scale product evaluations to validate performance and stability.
- Troubleshoot and improve existing formulas to enhance quality and consistency.
- Support the transition of formulations from development batches to commercial manufacturing.
- Ensure all formulations comply with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- At least two years of formulation experience within the personal care or related consumer products industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline relevant to product development.
- Strong understanding of formulation principles, ingredient compatibility, and product stability.
- Skilled in evaluating product performance during early-stage testing.
