Job Full Description
Specialized Recruiting Group – Irvine is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a large, well-established building materials distributor in the Irvine, CA area. This is a permanent, evaluation hire opportunity starting at $27.00 to $33.00/hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Prepare and submit reports
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Ensure accuracy of time and attendance systems
- Maintain compliance with applicable labor laws
- Assist employees with payroll inquiries
Requirements
- At least four years of payroll processing experience
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws
- Skilled with payroll systems
- Analytical and highly detail-oriented
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Multi-state payroll tax experience preferred
- Knowledge of payroll tax rules and compliance standards
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Professional, approachable, and easygoing demeanor
