Job Full Description
Specialized Recruiting Group, Irvine is seeking a Materials Planning Assistant for a growing consumer goods manufacturing company in the Irvine, CA area. This is a full-time, permanent, evaluation hire opportunity. Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Compensation starts at $25.00 to $30.00/hour.
Responsibilities
- Support production planning by updating schedules, monitoring material requirements, and flagging shortages or delays
- Create and process purchase orders
- Issue work orders to the production team and coordinate timing to align with production schedules
- Track and maintain inventory levels to meet production demand
- Source and secure competitive freight and transportation quotes
- Communicate with vendors via phone and email to confirm order status, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery
Requirements
- Prior experience in production planning, materials coordination, or a similar role preferred
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, team-oriented approach with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
