Job Full Description
Specialized Recruiting Group, Irvine is seeking a Senior Accountant for a growing consumer products company in the Irvine, CA area. This is a full-time, contract opportunity with the potential for permanent employment. Compensation starts at $45.00 to $48.00/hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities
- Manage payroll accounting activities across multiple business units
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain supporting documentation
- Process and account for intercompany and interdepartmental transfer transactions
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Assist with accounting process improvements and special projects
Requirements
- At least 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Payroll accounting background
- Month-end close and account reconciliation experience
- Knowledge of intercompany and/or interdepartmental transfer transactions
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite, SAP, or Navision preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
