Production Associate – 1st Shift (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Lodi, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: 1st Shift (6:55am)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking reliable and hardworking Production Associates for a food manufacturing facility in Lodi. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment and want to grow within the production field.

About the Role

Production Associates play a key role in ensuring products meet quality, safety, and production standards. You’ll work as part of a team on various production lines and may support multiple stations depending on daily needs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members regarding safety and product quality.
• Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, and company policies.
• Report safety concerns and participate in safety inspections as required.
• Operate as a trayer, molder, counter, or packer on various production lines.
• Make minor adjustments to molding, forming, and conveyor equipment.
• Assist with basic product quality checks, documentation, and housekeeping.
• Occasionally assist as a mixer helper or light machine helper.
• Operate and set up scales, palletizing equipment, box erectors, and taping machines.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor adjustments to equipment.
• Repackage, re-case, or complete rework as assigned.
• Ensure cases are properly labeled, sealed, packaged, and palletized.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow all GMP and sanitation guidelines.
• Use electric or manual pallet jacks to move product.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Shift Lead.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or industrial environment is a plus
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to count quickly and accurately
• High manual dexterity and ability to follow instructions
• Knowledge of GMPs preferred
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
• Comfortable working around bakery ingredients (flour, cinnamon, etc.)
• Able to work in hot, cold, and high-noise environments
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, kneel, and move throughout the shift
• Willingness to work with chemicals and production equipment
• May be required to work different shifts based on business needs
