Position Title: Senior Maintenance Mechanic

 

Pay: $31-$33/hr 

 

Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Mechanic with expertise in mechanical and/or electrical systems to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and equipment, along with providing technical support and on-the-job coaching to team members. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and experienced in preventive and corrective maintenance.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all workplace safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area during and after tasks.

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including conveyors, packaging systems, and production machinery.

  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks to maintain optimal equipment performance.

  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

  • Monitor the work of outside contractors to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

  • Maintain proper storage and organization of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.

  • Identify and propose opportunities for process improvements related to maintenance and equipment reliability.

  • Provide training, guidance, and support to less experienced team members.

  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and site safety protocols.

  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and keep up with industry practices.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in a GMP environment (e.g., food, cosmetics, pharma) is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and industrial machinery.

  • Ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair various types of production equipment.

  • Familiarity with electrical systems is highly desirable.

  • Solid communication and documentation skills.

  • Basic computer literacy for logging maintenance activities.

  • Ability to mentor and support other team members.

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
