Program Coordinator
Location: Hybrid – Westlake Village, CA (Mon–Thurs in-office, Fri remote)
Compensation: $24–$31/hr (DOE) + Full Benefits, including $600/year Wellness Account
Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Service Type: Direct Hire or Evaluation-to-Hire
We’re partnering with Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara, a leading nonprofit organization providing free supportive care to individuals impacted by cancer, to find a passionate and organized Program Coordinator to join their Programs & Services Department.
This is a dynamic role for someone who is mission-driven, highly collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing both people and projects.
Position Overview
As the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating a variety of wellness programs, educational workshops, and community support initiatives. You’ll work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for program participants, while also helping to promote and grow community partnerships.
This is a full-time hybrid position with occasional evening or weekend hours for events or special programs.
Key Responsibilities

Program Management: Plan and execute recurring and new programs, wellness classes, and community events

Participant Support: Oversee onboarding, referrals, intake scheduling, and distress screenings

Event Logistics: Coordinate speakers, venues, materials, and surveys for educational workshops and social gatherings

Community Engagement: Maintain relationships with facilitators, healthcare partners, and volunteers

Marketing Support: Create and update program materials, flyers, social media content, and newsletters

Data Management: Maintain program records, track attendance, and generate reports

Clinical Team Support: Provide technical and logistical support to program facilitators, interns, and clinical staff
What We’re Looking For

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Canva, Constant Contact (or similar platforms)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to juggle multiple projects, stay organized, and meet deadlines

Professionalism, reliability, and a team-first mindset

Experience working in nonprofit, community health, or program coordination roles is a plus

Ability to maintain confidentiality and support participants in emotionally sensitive settings

Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends for special events
