PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR — $64,000-$87,400
POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations across multiple production lines, leading frontline team members, and ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently met. This role includes managing work schedules, coordinating material flow, resolving production issues, and collaborating with internal departments to support operational timelines. Responsibilities also include employee training, equipment oversight, performing routine checks, and maintaining compliance with established manufacturing practices and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Supervisor’s duties include, but are not limited to:
Team Leadership & Scheduling

Oversee direct labor and assign team members to workstations and tasks.

Arrange supplemental labor during peak production periods.

Train and guide employees in daily responsibilities.

Supervise indirect labor supporting material movement and production flow.
Production Coordination

Communicate daily work orders, priorities, and deadlines for each line.

Collaborate with quality assurance and compounding teams to align on product availability and production needs.

Coordinate with warehouse personnel on material pulls, pick lists, and urgency levels.

Work with maintenance teams to address equipment setup, adjustments, and repairs.

Communicate with planning and customer service teams to support schedules and meet required timelines.
Data & Compliance

Manage required ERP entries, including material issues, production reporting, returns, labor tracking, labeling, and transfers.

Ensure adherence to SOPs, cGMP requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines.

Support a positive workplace through coaching, training, and corrective action when necessary.

Assist with training programs for all production employees.
Other
QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with liquids, OTC, or cosmetic production is beneficial.

Minimum 3 years in a lead or supervisory production role.

Strong understanding of current cGMP standards and SOP-driven environments.

Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform light maintenance on production equipment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Basic computer proficiency for logs, reporting, and inventory systems.

Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Dependable and punctual.
-
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
