Position: Tax Assistant
Pay: $30/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (3 Month Project)
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA 91360

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Assistant to support a busy office during tax season. Some training is provided, but candidates should have 1–2 years of tax-related experience. This role is also open to retired professionals with relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation and organization of tax documents (W-2, K-1, 1099, stock sales, etc.)

• Communicate with clients via phone and email to obtain missing or additional information

• Enter and manage client data accurately (each file is unique)

• Organize and process documents received via drop-off or mail

• Support calendar management and stay on top of appointments

• Assist with approximately 400 clients during tax season by asking questions and ensuring files are complete

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience working with tax documents preferred

• Strong communication skills (phone and email)

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Comfortable with data entry and handling confidential information
