Inventory Control Specialist (Warehouse Operations)
We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join a fast-paced warehouse operations team. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting efficient order fulfillment, and minimizing inventory discrepancies and shrinkage.
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Pay: $18.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy & Control
- Perform daily cycle counts for pick faces, bulk storage, and reserve locations
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and conduct root cause analysis
- Process inventory adjustments and maintain accurate documentation
Warehouse Process Oversight
- Monitor receiving, put away, picking, and transfer activities for accuracy
- Ensure proper bin locations, labeling, and warehouse organization
- Validate empty and zeroed inventory locations
Cycle Count & Physical Inventory Execution
- Assign and oversee cycle count activities
- Assist with training warehouse staff and temporary associates
- Recount and validate inventory variances as needed
Reporting & Analysis
- Track inventory accuracy, shrinkage, and variance trends
- Maintain inventory logs and recommend corrective actions
Process Improvement
- Identify operational gaps and support process improvements
- Assist with SOP updates and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse inventory control experience
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Forklift experience with current certification preferred
Performance Metrics
- Maintain inventory accuracy of 99% or greater
- Achieve cycle count completion goals
- Support shrinkage reduction initiatives
