Job Title: Bulldozer Operator – Underground Utilities (Field-Based)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Bulldozer Operator to work in the field supporting underground utility construction projects. This role is hands-on and requires operating a dozer daily while actively assisting with grading, trenching support, backfill, and site preparation for water, sewer, and storm utility installations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working directly on active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operate bulldozers to perform rough and fine grading, backfilling, and site preparation
•Support underground utility installation, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems
•Maintain proper grade and slope according to plans and specifications
•Work closely with foremen, pipe crews, and other equipment operators
•Assist with trench backfill and compaction operations
•Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
•Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and jobsite procedures
•Work in varying weather conditions and terrain
Qualifications:
•Minimum of 4 years of experience operating bulldozers in a construction or utility environment
•Proven experience working on underground utility projects
•Ability to read and understand grade stakes, site plans, and utility markings
•Knowledge of trench safety and underground utility best practices
•Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required
•Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced field environment
Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
•OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
