Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join a growing construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of projects. You will analyze project plans using PlanSwift and Excel Estimating Spreadsheet, ensuring all estimates align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
This position works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to support the successful execution of each project. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional accuracy, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze project drawings, plans, and specifications to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
- Utilize PlanSwift and Excel Estimating Spreadsheet to develop competitive bids and estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals, schedules, and budgets.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing, material availability, and delivery timelines.
- Review estimates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain organized documentation of all estimating activities.
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Experience preparing cost estimates within the construction industry (preferred).
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as PlanSwift, Excel, and other related programs.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans.
- Strong communication skills for working with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
