Marina Maintenance Technician
Ft. Pierce
$16 to $18 per hour

Express Employment Professionals is sourcing for candidates that are qualified, dependable and hardworking to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of a local marina. This hands-on position is responsible for performing general maintenance repairs, janitorial services, groundskeeping, and facility upkeep throughout the property.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for marina guests, tenants, and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in maintenance, handyman services, custodial work, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniques.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform general handyman repairs on marina buildings, docks, walkways, and common areas.
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report major repair needs to management.
Janitorial & Housekeeping
- Clean and sanitize bathhouses, restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities on a daily basis.
- Restock restroom supplies, including paper products, soap, and cleaning materials.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste throughout the property.
- Sweep, mop, pressure wash, and maintain all common areas.
Grounds & Property Maintenance
- Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, weeding, and debris removal.
- Maintain clean and safe parking lots, sidewalks, docks, and marina grounds.
- Assist with storm preparation and post-storm cleanup.
Customer Service
- Interact professionally and courteously with marina customers, boat owners, tenants, and visitors.
- Assist marina staff with special projects, events, and operational needs.
- Represent the marina in a positive, professional manner at all times.
