Marina Maintenance Technician

$16 to $18 per hour

Express Employment Professionals is sourcing for candidates that are qualified, dependable and hardworking to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of a local marina. This hands-on position is responsible for performing general maintenance repairs, janitorial services, groundskeeping, and facility upkeep throughout the property.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for marina guests, tenants, and staff.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in maintenance, handyman services, custodial work, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniques.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform general handyman repairs on marina buildings, docks, walkways, and common areas.
  • Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report major repair needs to management.

Janitorial & Housekeeping

  • Clean and sanitize bathhouses, restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities on a daily basis.
  • Restock restroom supplies, including paper products, soap, and cleaning materials.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste throughout the property.
  • Sweep, mop, pressure wash, and maintain all common areas.

Grounds & Property Maintenance

  • Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, weeding, and debris removal.
  • Maintain clean and safe parking lots, sidewalks, docks, and marina grounds.
  • Assist with storm preparation and post-storm cleanup.

Customer Service

  • Interact professionally and courteously with marina customers, boat owners, tenants, and visitors.
  • Assist marina staff with special projects, events, and operational needs.
  • Represent the marina in a positive, professional manner at all times.
