A NEW Company in Montgomery, IL is seeking Pallet Repair Technicians to join their growing team!!
-LABOR INTENSIVE JOB!!
-MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 60 lbs+ REPETETIVE 8 HOURS PER DAY
-MUST BE ABLE TO REPAIR 200 to 300 PALLETS PER DAY.
-MUST BE ABLE TO HAVE EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE. OVERTIME OFFERED.
Pay Rate: STARTING AT $21.00 Per Hour
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm (some Saturdays when needed)
2ND SHIFT: Monday to Friday 4:00pm to 12:30pm

Job Description:
As a Pallet Repair Technician, your primary responsibility will be to inspect, repair, and refurbish pallets for reuse. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure that pallets meet safety standards and are structurally sound for transportation and storage needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Inspect damaged pallets to assess repair needs and determine best repair methods

Perform repairs using various tools such as hammers, nails, staples, and saws

Maintain quality control standards to ensure all pallets meet industry and customer specifications

Safely operate machinery and tools, ensuring proper handling and maintenance

Record pallet repair data and maintain accurate records of repairs completed

Work efficiently to meet production goals while adhering to safety and quality standards

Assist in managing inventory of pallets and parts as needed

Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
-
Prior experience in pallet repair, woodworking, or related field is preferred but not required
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical labor

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and repair equipment

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 65 pounds) and perform manual labor

Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team

A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills
