**EVALUATION TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY**
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm (overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
Job Purpose
The purpose of an Assembly Line Operator job is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of assembly line machinery and equipment. The Assembly Line Operator plays a crucial role in the cylinder assembly process by performing various tasks such as neck ring install, cylinder stamping, and cylinder valving, monitoring the production line for any issues or malfunctions, conducting quality checks, and ensuring that the production targets are met. Assembly line’s main objective is to properly secure neck rings on cylinders, stamp customer name, serial numbers, and Tare weight per customer specifications. Also, to install valve per work order and maintain quality throughout the process.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Neck ring machine:
o Knowledge of neck-ring installation timing per cylinder manufacturer.
o Setting up the neck-ring machine per cylinder size.
o Trouble shooting of all neck ring machine essential functions.
o Perform general maintenance of all essential parts, loading table, hydraulic cylinders, rollers, sensors, and proximity switches.
o Hydraulic oil levels
o Detailed knowledge of touch screen functions and set up.
o Detailed knowledge of how to manually operate the equipment.
o Able to operate hand tools and battery-operated tools.
· Stamping Machine:
o Create recipe, make changes and adjustments for stamping cylinder.
o Able to adjust equipment pressure per cylinder.
o Stamping machine set up, adjust per cylinder length & outside diameter.
o Extensive knowledge of angle set up per cylinder size and manufacturer.
o Extensive knowledge of all stamping machine functions to be able to operate, diagnose problems and find solutions.
o Upkeep and general maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications / Skills
· Six months to one-year related experience
· Forklift certification preferred, we will train and certify.
· Experience working in a plant environment preferred.
· Ability to speak English preferred.
· Reading and writing English preferred.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Ability to apply principles of logic to practical problems.
· Ability to pay attention to the details of a project or task.
· Ability to be organized.
Working Conditions
This position is completely exposed to the plant operations as well as outside elements which have temperature fluctuations, material and environmental hazards which require the use of personal protective equipment such as but not limited to safety glasses, ear plugs, close toed shoes which may be steel toed/metatarsal.
