Badge Checker / Scanner – Conference Event
Location: Rosemont, IL
Event Dates: May 15-17
Shifts: AM starting at 7:30 AM
PM starting at 3:00 PM
Overnight 10:00 PM-4:00 AM
Compensation: $16.60 per hour
Job Description
We are seeking friendly and reliable individuals to provide excellent service as Badge Checkers/Scanners for an upcoming conference. This role is crucial to ensuring smooth attendee check-in and access control throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet attendees in a professional and welcoming manner
- Scan attendee badges at entrances and session rooms using handheld scanners
- Verify attendee credentials and provide directions as needed
- Monitor entrances to ensure only authorized attendees enter designated areas
- Answer general event questions and assist with wayfinding
- Communicate with event staff about any access issues or concerns
Requirements
- Professional, courteous, and approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable using a scanner
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous customer service or event staffing experience preferred but not required
· Uniform - White shirt, black tie, (white blouse and no tie is acceptable for female staff), black pants (no jeans), black belt, non-slip black shoes (no sneakers), and black blazer/suit jacket. To be scheduled for an interview, you must provide proof that you have the uniform.
