Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper

Location: Near West Side, Chicago
Pay Rate: $24–$29/hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Evaluation Hire (90 Days)
Schedule: Full-Time

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper for a plumbing supply client located in Chicago’s Near West Side area. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with strong bookkeeping experience who is looking for long-term growth with a stable company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate transaction matching
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records
• Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping operations
• Support reporting and additional accounting functions as needed

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Accounting Clerk or Bookkeeping experience required
• Associate’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently
