Job Full Description
Trailer Mechanic – $15–$16/hour
Location: Danville, IL
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift.
We’re looking for a skilled Trailer Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair trailers to keep them running safely and efficiently. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and ensuring equipment is in top condition.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Inspect trailers and perform safety checks

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues

Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime

Conduct equipment safety inspections
-
Follow all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
What You Bring to the Table:

Knowledge of DOT requirements for trailers and AVI
-
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb stairs or ladders, and perform physical tasks

Physical stamina, agility, and overall good health

Ability to work independently while meeting high-performance standards

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
